Third Grade

WELCOME TO THIRD GRADE

Third grade at Forest View offers many opportunities for growth and change. Reading, writing and speaking skills are developed through activities centered around six communication themes. A hands-on approach to math is used to reinforce problem-solving and computation skills. Many challenging topics are covered, including geometry, probability, graphing, and measurement. Social studies concentrates on various types of communities. Science units include chemistry, water, living things, and magnets and electricity. In third grade we hope to develop responsible, independent learners.
