Consolidation of Forest Lake and Forest View Elementary Schools
On October 3, the School Board voted to approve a plan to consolidate Forest Lake and Forest View elementary schools into one building at Forest View. This would begin for the 2025-2026 school year. This new consolidated program will serve students in Pre-K through 5th grade.
At the same time, all district 6th grade students will transition to Forest Lake Area Middle School, making our middle school a 6th-8th grade program.
Transition Process
A staff planning team will be working to plan final details and make preparations for the transition. Staff and room assignments will be completed this spring and furniture and supplies will be moved over the summer in time to set up classrooms for the upcoming year.
